I have this backpack. It holds my 1.6 inch thick Alienware 14, a two inch binder, two one-subject spiral notebooks, a 600+ page paperback Java book, a (disassembled) miniature water pipe, as well as my brick of a laptop charger, a 12000mAh battery pack, and a few peripherals like my mouse.

Shamefully enough, this shit.

Thing is that I don't have any other good backpack to carry my shit when I go to class, and it fits my laptop/books/notepads and even my jacket and lunch if needed. And I don't really have the budget for another backpack right now.

i've had an eastpak for 8 years of daily use and the only thing thats happened is some of the grippy tape on the inside of the shoulder straps has flaked off.

10/10 would buy again
>>
cheap, holds plenty of shit.
the pocket on the bottom is especially useful for holding chargers and wires.
>>
>>44340328
I'm not saying it's a bad backpack, it works great for carrying all kinds of stuff.

It's just kinda middleschool-tier

I use an M-51 Engineer Bag. I'd grab a picture but I'm on my phone. It's tall and skinny and has a lot of cool pocket usage. Fits my laptop, tablet, kindle, a comp book, and loads of other small EDC style items

Biggest thing its got going for it? Durability. I live in NYC and I haul this thing everywhere. I've had it for 5 years and it has basic signs of wear.

I have this bag. I don't have a laptop though. Just a 5 year old gate way net book.
Bag is great. Cushioned laptop pouch, leathery strap, not cheaply made. Roomy without being too cumbersome.

I'm looking for a really low-profile sling backpack that wraps around the chest like pic related, it'd be perfect since I freerun a lot. Anyone know where I can look for something like this?

There's this company that makes bags like that for bikers and stuff. I don't remember the name. The store was in Chicago. Might be more that one store. You could get the bag made custom and they would make it in front of you

$140. What. The. Fuck. Thanks for the find, but wow, I thought these would be in the $40 range at most.
>>
Thinking of grabbing a overboard sport waterproof bag. Seems like it's under 100$ for a fully waterproof backpack. Seems like a steal, anyone have experience with overboard? They're a euro brand and under 100$ in canabux seems good

Dude I've seen bags for like $200+. Some people will pay that much for their bags
>>
I have this backpack and it might be the best money I've ever spent - it looks like just a backpack, but there are so many little things about it that are exactly right, and it can hold more than its size would suggest (it's not a small backpack though)
>>
>>44340932
Thanks! I only played 3 so I'm unfamiliar with it. I guess I have to buy New Vegas as well.
>>
>>44340948
Yeah, I know. It's just being a freerunner with a backpack like a Jansport is impossible, and every sling backpack doesn't wrap around you, just over your shoulder. Plus they're always baggy as hell when I just want it streamlined. Yet somehow it needs to be 3 digits for the proper sling I'm looking for.
>>
>>44340901
Yeah man decent bags arent cheap. Right now I rotate between:
http://www.sunnysports.com/p-nfcpsr2/the-north-face-surge-ii-daypack?gclid=CN7zrIi7-sACFQZrfgodf3sASg
and
http://www.revolveclothing.com/jansport-skip-yowell-collection-pleasanton-backpack-in-army-green/dp/JANS-UA1/
for my EDC.

I have a 5.11 Rush 24 for other random shit too. Kinda wish I got the 12 though, 24s a bit big.
>>
>>44340999
You haven played new Vegas? Get that shit man it's the best!
>>
I have what I think is called the Ogio Ruck 20. Decent enough bag, considering my options were that or a plain Jansport, the padded laptop sleeve inside and padded tablet pocket in front ultimately sold me. Carries an Acer C720, textbook, composition book, regular notebook and folder, some writing utensils, a pen knift, and a bottle of water. There's enough room in there for another two notebooks, chargers for all of my devices, a PSP or 3DS, TI-83 Plus SE, and the bag I had that broke the day I bought this one.

can anyone recommend some niche brands in this kind of style of backpack? mi-pac is one but they dont have the durability.
>>
>>44341175
Why's it have to be niche? If a common brand in that style and durability existed, why would nthat not be acceptable?
>>
1.) get one of these
2.) put your laptop in any kind of bag that fits
3.) ???
4.) profit!
>>
>>44341269
niche brands sometimes have other features that the main ones dont, or maybe im just a hipster faggot that doesn't want the same bag as everyone else.
>>
>>44341397
>maybe im just a hipster faggot that doesn't want the same bag as everyone else.

I'm pretty sure nobody judges other by what brand backpack they have (maybe middle school). If anything, people are judged for having a backpack at all.

You mean Chrome?

I use my Chrome Metropolis daily in all weathers. It's hard wearing and has kept all my gear dry in storm force downpours for the past 5 years riding 25ish miles a day. It carries pooptons and I can't recommend enough.

My T420 fits in this
Not sure you could add 3 more inches in depth though, it's a pretty tight fit
But I love the fact that I can run without the bag bobbing

its hard to see on the picture, but it has two straps on the side, which allows you to to open the bag while wearing it to get shit out, without the lid flying fully open like on a regular laptop bag.
