imagine, a /summerfree/ board
>>32856
Fuck me, if Hiroshim00t could keep it like that, it could actually work.
>>32856
this is now a holy place
Except shitpossters from fit and lit will leak over with their cancerous memes.
I think theres a lot of 8ch and endchan here now since both boards are down today, but when they leave its just going to be sips and infinite jest threads.
>>32856
Closed communities always die off.
>>32856
>mfw Diogenes would just get locked in prison or a mental institution nowadays
>>32856
I'm praying he just forgets about it and it stays up forever
>>32856
>implying Lenin wasn't an ubermensch
>implying Mao wasn't an ubermensch
>implying Augustus wasn't an ubermensch
>implying Hitler wasn't an ubermensch
too many meta-posts, it already went to shit, yesterday was fun tho, really high energy, it was a riot
I just visited /fit/ by accident and don't think I can go back
>>34249
lit > fitlit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> fit
>>34252
confirmed manlet faggot.
>>34210
Well if everybody would just introduce a friend or two, we could have some influx.
>>34252
hehehe nice ironic post my friend
>>32856
Diogenes never made anything of value, he just had an eccentric personality. Horrible """philosopher""".
>>34326
If we shill the board shitposters will flood it
If we don't shill the board it will die
We must keep an open but unobtrusive community. Not muh sekrit club, but not easy for any 9th grader on his school library computer to stumble across by accident.
>inb4 nu-moot deletes it anyway in a couple days
>>34338
how do we do that
and yeah i fear deletion too
>>32856
All of the obscure mergers are hidden boards right now. It's the summer free side of 4chan. Let's call it m4.
Rule M4: Don't talk about hidden boards outside of hidden boards.
>>34360
good rule, can we sticky it
>>32856
Out of all the merger boards, this one is the most fit to stay.
A board for self improvement, of both the mind and the body. Truly, a patrician board.
>>34367
Change the rule name to 4OO( 4 Oldies Only). If it sounds better and more catchy.
>>34333
Neither did Socrates, dipshit. You only know his name because of Plato.
>>34333
Diogenes was living philosophy though breh that's why he is so memed around here
>>34375
You're the one bringing up Socrates for no reason you silly billy.
>>34372

maybe /fitlit/ could get me into lifting
/fit/ just puts me off the thought of it. full of annoying meatheads
>>34338
what if every so often, such as April first, we put a single thread on both fit and lit and tell people about this new board about both fitness and literature. Many will assume it's a joke while others, actual curious ones, can come over and join. That way the influx is kept minimal and any shitposting that does spill over is minimized.
pls no deleto
this is a good board
>>32856
Our first task is to kick out these ironpill posting faggots. Then we can start planning for the future
>>34456
/fit/ hates everything i'm about to say but it worked for me.
Start small. Buy some dumbbells and do sets of curls while you are sitting at the computer or doing other stationary things.
Buy a pullup bar and just leave it hanging in a doorway. Do a pullup every time you pass it. (not literally. don't hurt you're self by doing 20 pullups a day. Stop when it hurts)
Buy running shoes and jog a mile 3 times a week if you live in a safe area.
Do all of this for a few months, then slowly start working up to a real workout plan. It's more about getting into the mindset and not just giving up a week later because it's inconvenient.
>>34549
>Stop when it hurts
>>34246
>Mao
>>34360
I'm gonna invite my redpilled buddies (irl ones)
>>34615
The first time I started I fucked up my elbows by overdoing it. I went from never working out to 100 pushups, 5x4 pullups, 5x4 chin ups, 5x10 curls, 5x10 chest rise. Every day. "No pain no gain" and my gains completely stopped two days later because I could not pick up a fork without a surge of pain through my arm. Took weeks to recover.
>>34641
a gud rule for working out
>if it's joint pain, stop and reassess form and intensity
>if it's muscle pain, keep goin and GIT GUD
>>34352
We have to go on that meta board and tell him to keep the combined boards at least as a trial.
>>34644
how do I know the difference?
>>34246
>Lenin
>>34655
>mook reads /qa/
what are you smoking?
>>34333
diogenes = socrates 2.0
>>34246
>Augustus
>>34246
>Hitler
>>34663
you feel more of a broad and burning sensation for muscle pain, the kind of pain like carrying something heavy in your arms for a while
joint pain is much more localized and sharper, you will feel it directly at the joints of very close to them
>>34352
I doubt that /fitlit/ would become as slower than /po/
>>34641
Read Practical Programming. As much shit as Ripp gets, he does an excellent job explaining the biology behind strength training. He details the stress-recovery-adaptation cycle and how to apply it to strength training.
