Been thinking about giving up drinking. I've been a heavy beer drinker for almost seven years.
I'm also, amazingly, pretty skinny. Back in high school I weighed like 120lbs, I've gained around 30lbs since then and of course look WAY better, still slim but much more healthy.
I'm thinking that if I'm still so thin after consuming an 'extra' 1400-1800 calories every day for the last seven years, if I will start losing a ton of weight if I stop drinking. I really don't want to lose anything.
Just wanting to hear /fit/s thoughts... maybe switch the booze for protein/weight-gain shakes? I don't know anything about supplements like that. I had a buddy that started a weight gainer and ended up gaining way too much so I'm kind of skeptical.
how tall? I did the 120 to 150 as a 5'7" manlet and was actually pretty skinny fat at 150. not fat compared to "average" Americans, but still fat.
I'd say replace beer with water and maybe milk for some calories. You might lose some fat effortlessly and find that it's better being leaner. Or you'll just eat more to offset the beer and maintain.
