Ever since I started using a pull up bar I've developed these on both hands. I tried wearing gloves but that seems to just make it worse. Anyone have any remedies or ways to prevent this in the future?

I use hand cream that labourers use and it really helps. To prevent it just grip the bar in a way so that the skin at the top of the palm isn't folded over
