The yoga place I go to once a week has a pole/aerial section

I'm more than a bit bigger then the few other guys there at 6'1" @ 197 (and that's after a hard cut), and I've never really concentrated on BW stuff aside from using it as an accessory/cooldown.

There's a reason a lot of pole/aerial artists are petite. Let's just say that I'm a good example why you're not going to see strongmen doing it, but otoh some of the basic exercises have increased my proprioception and finetuend my tension. On the gripping hand, some of the girls there and in yoga also lift weights know I'm there for crosstraining; it makes it easier to learn.

A chunk of the girls there participate in a weekly burlesque/pole/aerial show at a club. I've got the option of getting a bit better (just enough to not look dumb imo) and do a couples routine with one of the girls on ribbons.
