Hi, /fit/. In your experience, what has been the most effective form of cardio to lose fat/weight?
So far it's hiking or stairs for me. I've tried swimming and cycling but hiking is my favorite atm. +with weight lifting I've been losing fat faster than the other things I've tried.

Cycling. I'm on a road racing team so I'm riding 5 or 6 days a week all year, anywhere from 7 to 15+ hours a week (which is all the time I can spare with working a 40 hour a week job). I use power-based training so I have a PowerTap rear wheel for my regular road bike, and a Quarq crankset on my TT bike, so I have a very accurate idea of how much I'm burning and can easily burn 1000+ kcal on any ride. Riding at a Tempo intensity, for me, burns 900+ kcal *per hour*. If you're already fairly well conditioned then just take plain water or water with electrolytes in your bottles and get the equivalent of burning an extra 100 to 300 kcal/hour because you're not taking anything in during the ride; don't do this if you're riding at Threshold though, you'll bonk.
