Well, I am the same he started to sort out his life and I have pretty much same story, the only difference is that I have started earlier. My first beer was just before my 13th birthday, when I was 14 I already had my first vodka...Most of the things people do when they are 18-21 I have done when I was 15-18. Using a scale I measured how much weight from my 80kg frame I was pressing up against on a normal pushup position.
It was around 58 at the top and 75kg at the bottom.

If you can do 40 pushups with that bodyweight granted it's garanteed you have a 225lb bench in you.
