Because happieness lies in working towards a goal, reaching it and then working to the next goal.
If you lift to get girls, its a finite goal. Once you reached it, theres no reason to improve or even keep lifting (if you get into a relationship). But having a girlfriend or even fucking around wont make you happy longterm either. Its not the endless source of happieness some guys here imagine it to be.
