Slipped up a bit today. As long as I keep to the straight and narrow I don't really have any issues with the cutting and I can handle feeling humgry just fine.
As soon as I allow myself just a tiny biscuit, even one I plan for in my calorie allowance, I lose control.

You don't lose weight in the gym.
Download myfitnesspal or similar and keep a strict regime of 500-1000 calories under your TDEE. Not having money is not an excuse.
You should also walk a lot.

Just eat less of whatever you're eating and workout at home. Buy a jump rope or if you suck at jumping rope, don't have room for one or can't afford one, find two cylindrical objects with a low weight (up to 200g) and pretend to jump rope. This way you can jump as fast as you want without having to worry about tripping. 20 minutes of intense jumping (150+ jumps a minute) burns a bunch of calories. You can also run.

As for reistance training, do bodyweight exercises (push ups, squats, l sits, pull ups if you have something to hang off of). Save up some money for a used pair of 40+lbs dumbbells and do curls, lateral raises, shoulder presses etc.

Protein can be a problem if you're very poor. You'll need 200-300g of chicken breast a day if you want to hit your proteins.

You need to know exactly how much you can eat (links are in the OP) and then you have to find out exactly how many calories are in the stuff you eat. Places like mfp can help you do that easily.

Once you take that first step, losing weight is a piece of cake. You can drop 2lbs per week with a pretty small effort.

There's always a risk if you have absolutely no idea what you're doing. Watch youtube videos/tutorials, I recommend athlean-x videos about bicep curls, lateral raises and bench press, the guy knows everything about injuries and how to avoid them. If you have even somewhat decent form, you'll most likely never injure yourself. Don't go crazy with the weights and intensity at first. Listen to your body.

If you near obese or obese, go easy with workouts in general. Lose some weight first before running or jumping rope.

I'm on a 72hr water fast to jump start my weight loss again. I dropped 120lbs with just IF and clean eating but I got a GF and being happy took away my self hate that I used to drive me. Haven't gained or lost any weight in two months so at least I can maintain but I also don't do my weight lifting/cardio like I used too so I'm sure I lost muscle tone. Hello /fat/

I just bought a bicycle today. Pic related. I'm huge on tech stuff, movies, E-books. Everything that keeps me indoors. Today I was at my local Electronics store looking at buying a new tablet to replace my current one WHICH FUCKING WORKS PERFECT AND I'M BUYING A NEW ONE TO FILL A VOID. The tablet was just under $500. As I was looking around for a worker to get me that tablet, I randomly started getting REALLY anxious. Like almost in tears I don't fucking know why. I left and there's a Dicks Sporting Goods on the way home. I stopped in and bought a bike. Was the same price as the tablet I was going to get for no reason.

I got the bike home, rode it around the block clumsily like the fat fuck I am. I can't remember the last time I rode a bicycle. I intend to ride this bike everyday around my large neighborhood and eventually tackle the huge fucking hill by me. Then start riding the bike to the gym, lift, and ride home. I don't know why but I feel much less lethargic and depressed today.

Biking's great. Once you get a little in shape and comfortable riding you can see if there are trails nearby for you to ride, so much fun.

BTW your ass will probably hurt the first time you ride it for longer than like 45 minutes, but that only really happens once unless you ride for way longer than you have before again, so don't give up on biking because of it.

Ground beef is one of the unhealthier meats you could eat (not saying it's bad but if you were to compare it to steak, chicken, fish, etc. it loses), plus they are usually slathered and bathed in grease
The sauces inside are the main culprit. Jacking up calorie count tremendously and overpowering the subtle interactions of a natural burger without sauces
Tomatoes and pickles are not inherently unhealthy but they are definitely the most decadent of vegetables

If you cook it at home on your grill and know what's going into and don't use sauces or dips and shit, it's a healthy as can be, but most burgers that are eaten are greaseballs from fast food or diners, thus the stigma

Well, I did something I didn't think I would do. Last night I got on the scale and I was 10 lbs over what I was when I got here. I seriously wondered why. Ask my roommates, they can attest to me only buying my usual /fit/ meme foods. I think I know why after some thought. Ever since my 21st birthday last month, I would have a pint or two when we would go out to eat on the weekends. I hadn't thought about the fact that a beer has roughly four or more pieces of bread worth of carbs inside it unless it's a light beer, and pints are roughly two beers in volume. All I can really say, is that I'm sorry. I feel like I broke a promise, even if that promise wasn't ever officially made to /fit/. I hope you can forgive this massive oversight and whatever little damage has been done, will be undone quickly. I had cake at work yesterday due to a colleague leaving.
I also had a hot chocolate.
And then some beers for dinner.

However, I have eaten relatively well through the week. Healthy breakfast, small lunch and somewhat OK dinner.
Weight is slowly going downwards, but weekends are the hardest. Biggest thing I've noticed is that my alcohol need is severely lower.
I got a good buzz from 4 beers last night, compared to 8-9 needed previously. Lower consumption = less calories and less money spent, less strain on the liver too I suppose.

My knee kind of hurts though, stretches are the worst! It's like it puts a new strain on my joints that make them hurt.

I am barely getting a handle on compulsive and bored eating. Had half of a 10" pizza from a local place last night and I'm trying to be hungry for a while rather than chow through the whole thing in 3 minutes this morning.

It's as if heavy application of discipline is needed for a simple 10 hour overnight fast. Does anyone have advice on how not to be constantly thinking about food and anticipating that moment when I finally allow it?

If you don't even have basics of discipline not to say no to eating every 30 minutes then limit the amount of food you have in your house. If there are no snacks around to munch on its easier or the very least you will be forced to take a walk to the shops.
Other than that find something else to occupy your mind like a hobby( or exercise). However it seems like you don't even want to lose your weight that badly if you can't stick with the plan mate.Gotta set your priorities straight, half assing wont do the job.

Another weekly weigh in, 4.2 pounds dropped since last Saturday morning.That's about 17 pounds dropped since I joined crossfit three weeks ago. Sticking with 1,200 calories has helped too. I don't care how hard I'm falling for a meme I fucking love going for some reason. If I stick with it I'll stop being that fat fuck in classes and actually be able to participate with others instead of being on baby mode. Feel really good. Boss bought the crew some WingStop wings and insisted i try one of each flavor he got. I agreed not even thinking about it. Found out later that the four I ate equaled to almost 500cal. ended the day at only an 80cal deficit.

I'm thinking about making a process here. My family had some and left me with a bunch of leftovers. I think one serving is three ounces, and I'm going to keep what I can and make salads with them for dinner this week. I might invest in a little kitchen digital scale, buy a chicken on the weekends and portion it out for the week. I can't cook for shit but I certainly can microwave chicken and boil / steam veggies. Do stores add a bunch of bullshit to the chicken to make this plan bad? I don't want to go back to frozen dinners I think this could work better.

I generally trust the supermarkets I use, but I'm not in the US and I can imagine I would be paranoid if I had to buy any kind of food there.

Flavor enhancers too - in large amounts. Some may be experiencing discomfort from eating a lot of it if you're not used to it. Sort of like fake sweeteners in soda.

The chicken they use, is just as the one you owuld buy in the store, but close to expiration date and thus the flavor is slightly enhanced through lots of spices.

As an anecdote, I can't eat things with aspartame or the other type of fake sweetener when having cut out soda from my eating habit. It has this bitter or acridic (according to the dictionary) in the back of my throat which just tastes foul.
If I fall for my weakness, I buy a soda with "real" sugar (not HFCS, not in NA) and feel bad halfway and pour it out.

I like coffee, but drinking it with any kind of artificial sweetener is death. So I still drink it with sugar, but only once a day (and toning down the sugar too). It doesn't tear into my calories that much and I still get to enjoy coffee

Guys im realizing i have a serious problem on my hands right now. I've been trying to lose all my extra weight for almost 4 years now and i just keep yoyo-ing back from different amounts yet ive never made it farther than the first time i lost 50lbs and its never been more than 15lbs for the past year.

Im motivated and stay on track for 2-3 weeks and then one day i just say fuck it and binge but it never stops there. I just binged for 2 weeks as usual after being good with my diet for 2 weeks and now im in that portion of hating myself, wondering why im like this, and how i can change.

Has anyone here seen a therapist or gotten professional help? Im starting to feel like i cant do this by myself. Everytime i think about not binge eating all day i get depressed and feel miserable and nothing cures the boredom. Im at work right now and just the idea of waiting until lunch and not stuffing myself on my break makes me feel depressed. My brain tells me I'm going to be bored and waste my break doing nothing and the only thing to fill that void is apparently food. I fucking hate myself and i hate the way i look and i dont want to die young from heart disease so why the fuck cant i stop stuffing my face and just be skinny and normal like everyone else. Why the fuck does my brain make me obsessed with food?????

Posting in anonymous imageboards is great for getting stuff out of your chest but in the long run, none of us are 100% qualified to help you

That being said, do you have anything going on for you outside of work, food and (maybe) gym? Sometimes you need to fill your head with something else. At least that's what worked for me. I usually ate a lot and snacked a lot because of boredom, nowadays I almost forget meals because I filled my routine with things to do. Good things, too: I'm working through my movie and book backlog, I go out more, I hit the gym

I don't really have an issue with soda, even though I buy it occasionally.
I get my fulfillment through flavored bubbly water, it's the combination of alcohol, bad decisions and hung-over that usually makes me do that.
With a good diet, alcohol need goes down, and thus the craving for repairing through soda.

Artificially flavored stuff simply tastes awful to me. I can't eat it, and while I avoid a lot of stuff due to the sugar amount (jams, soda mostly, candy) it makes me avoid both.

However, for ranting sake, weekends are the worst.
It's 60 hours or so without any plans, motivation and an excuse to use alcohol. Diet takes a fall, since it's the weekend. I can snack, since it's the weekend. I can enjoy myself with vices, since it's the weekend. It's still 2 out of 7 days that probably makes up for the rest of the week.
As I'm saying this, I'm slaving away infront of the TV drinking beer, knowing I shouldn't. But I have this lingering hope inside me, that is free to reign in the weekend due to downtime that I will become this Chad-like guy with healthy interests, motivation, ambition, social life, and a pleasant guy to be around and get a gf->wife->kids etc.
I want to have this feeling sober, not in the bottom of a few cans of beer.

For my weekends I still try to plan them out with MyFatassPal to do at least 1,200 to 1,400 (give myself a little leeway, weekdays are strict 1,200). The only plans I manage to follow is made by others.
Like showing up for work, 9-3 mon-fri and do what my obligations are. The time after is wasted away with intentions and good faith, but in reality it's 6 hours of Twitch, 4chan and the occasional video game where I sit bored wondering what the hell I'm doing. Weekends is a long time with spare time and it allows for some feel good useage of alcohol with self-loathing and sobbing.
I'm left with myself, and that scares me. I can't manage to sit down with a book, a movie or some other media. I can't manage to take a walk or go to the gym. My head puts up big hinderances and it's bothering me.
It's only when I'm busy I want to do all those things. Like when at work, I imagine how fun I would have if I were to play a game, or how much I would read if I weren't just watching this god damn movie, making dinner, limited socializing - my fatty as fuck sister and her unhealthy friends.
It's like be alone and wallow in self-pity, or be around unhealty and toxic people who claims to have to intention of being "good people" and feel good.

It's mostly alcohol in the weekends. The diet is somewhat OK, sugary snacking though, but the beer is quite filling.

Finished a long exhausting cut recently into low bf percentage. Intermittent fasting, 1000+ kcal deficit, you name it. It was awful.

Now I'm bulking and I'm so deathly afraid of accidentally eating at too high a surplus. I start eating something very calorie dense and I find my old habits kicking, purging or spitting or whatever. It's fucking terrible.

Food can really mess with a person's head.

I was on my family's cottage 4 days completely by myself this summer. Best feeling ever imo.
I managed to go on two mountain trips, one took 6 hours to walk 20 km and 800 meters or so in height. Felt fucking good managing to do it.
I failed it last year.

Next year will be better.

Bicycle anon here again. I had to go get some adapters to be able to fill my tires. Took the bike out for a ride and holy shit.

A). I'm SERIOUSLY out of shape. Was huffing and puffing like a surfacing whale after 4 blocks of the highest gear setting

B). Wearing my usual overly heavy Reebok hoody, I was sweating and m heart rate was higher than 30 minutes on the treadmill ever made me.

C). My knees aren't killing me! I can't stress this enough.

Now to just buy a larger seat for my fatass and we'll be A OK. Pic related. Feeling quite drained ATM

Many places that I like to eat at, buy liquor from, or shop at are within bicycle range (15+ minutes on Bike). I figure I'll just start tiding the bike to get those things. Ordered food for pick up? Bike there. Want to grab a tall boy or 2? Bike there.

All of these on cheat days only of course. It'll make me have to work for those cheat meals.
