Last week I squatted 3x5 @ 255 and I felt like I was close to failure, should I try 265 this time or deload?

3*5*265
Solid unrack. If it feels like you're straining or exerting yourself to liftvthe bar less than 2", you're not tight enough in tw rack position
Don't take excess time after walkout. 2-3 steps is enough.
Full body tension at top. If any part of you feels like a pool noodle you're doing it wrong.
No loss of tension during eccentric. If you lose tension, it's going to be harder to reverse and come up
Juts got back from gym, warmed up, loaded up 265, got 3 reps, on the 4th felt a slight pull, on 5 went down and stayed down. I hurt my lower back, what do /fit/?

Practice how to fail squats with lighter weights first so you don't panic and hurt yourself with the heavier weights.

I didn't fail poorly, I failed and dropped onto the safety bars. Regardless, back hurts now, got a date tomorrow and a wedding on Saturday, gonna suck

If you fail you should just slowly lower yourself and let the barbell rest on the safety bars.

Slap on an icyhot pack and try to keep your posture erect as much as possible, should be ok in a day or two

Thats exactly what I did
