>Is swimming a good exercise
One of the best
>Is swimming a good exercise for building muscles
Absolutely not
>>
The muscular high level swimmers will lift weights as part of the training, the swimming isn't the cause of that development
>>
Swimming on rest days feels fucking amazing
>>
>>42838506
if you don't lift and work your hardest, within 3 years take you to the non-lift natty limit.
>>
Anyone have a link to a good beginner swimming program? I've seen one linked around here, can't seem to find it tho.
>>
for cardio, which style is the best?
>>
>>42839900
Rowing and swimming and cycling are all good
>>
>>42839900
any stroke is really fine, breaststroke and butterfly when done properly will definitely give you the best workout, especially abs, but will also wear you out much more quickly.

Swimming is probably the most based cardio. It is low-impact (saves your joints, tendons and ligaments) and uses all your muscles if you do it right. Based.

started doing push ups and pull ups
1 week and noticed gains

Funny, cause it's been the opposite for me. Been going to the gym for years, started swimming a few times a week, and my shoulders/back have exploded since.
