front squats are fucking great for just about anything from various sports to bodybuilding tho, so yeah, if you're not front squatting yet, you probably should, excellent for quads

No, they are a good way to strengthen quads.
There will be some improvement to hip extension strength, but not as much as from low bar back squats, deadlifts, goodmornings, or hip thrusts.
If you care about hip flexion, adduction or abduction, you will need accessories, although sumo DLs and wide stance squats do help build adduction strength.

not really, if by strengthening hips you mean a thrust move. Just think about it, obviously the exercise in which you have to thrust your hips the most would be the best, so FRONT squats are literally the worst choice from squats. Go either low-bar squats, or better yet, deadlifts, especially sumo if you start from a relatively high hip position.
