Does /fit/ meal prep? or do you cook your meals everyday?

Meal prep all the way
>cook about 6 lbs. of chicken in my pressure cooker each week (takes 1.5 hours)
>peel, quarter, and freeze bananas for my shakes
>freeze big tubs of greek yogurt for my shakes
All I have to do is chop some broccoli, reheat the chicken and add sauce. I buy everything in bulk and freeze it if it's not frozen already.

u know u can just eat a banana whenever without going through all that hassle

Can chicken really last a week for a week? I only cook for 3 or 4 days max because I fear the chicken or rice may rot.

Chicken is fine along as its in Tupperware or a ziplock with a dry paper towel, but I would make new rice every 3 or 4 days.

yeah. a week or so is kinda the upper limit on it being ok to eat. will probably start to smell funky after 7-10 days. Most things (except fruit) are good in a fridge for at least a week

>dry paper towel
go on

To collect the moisture/condensation in the container, if its wet change it out.

If something goes off, you can usually smell it. If it smells bad don't eat it.
nah chicken fresh out of the oven > shitty microwaved chicken.
I prep and portion the ingredients so I can grab and cook portions and know exactly what's in it, and eat a fresh meal instead of something days old heated in a microwave.

Yeah, rice is the problem as it rots faster, I'll try to cook a big batch of chicken and hopefully it does last me a week.

I usually leave two days worth of meals in the fridge and keep the rest in the freezer. Take one days meals out of the fridge and replace it with another days meals from the freezer.
