I basically have three cheat days planned for the upcoming months; visit to Vegas in October, Thanksgiving and Christmas days. Otherwise I will be sticking to my 1,200 calorie diet.

Here's the thing though... With the holidays coming there will be temptation FUCKING EVERYWHERE. Halloween has candy all over the office. Then Thanksgiving multiple families want multiple meals. Christmas tradition of stuffing our faces all month long. It helps that I live on my own now but I still have family around. So I ask, when my grandma bakes her amazing ass treats do I hoard them for the cheat day? How bad can I make a cheat day and bounce back from it?

I consider my weekends "cheat days" as in I'll eat whatever I want outside the diet as long as I stay within the diet's calorie range. So when I sit here thinking I could eat some pop tarts right quick I throw it in the log and see how many calories I have left. Then back on the weekdays I stick back on track with the main diet.

Good on you though, your mind and tastes are changing. Last Friday when I was driving home I thought about getting a pizza like I would years ago every Friday night and said to myself "I want food not garbage". Keep it up.

Instead of drinking 13-16 cans of beer combined Friday + Saturday, I instead drank 4, a glass of champagne or something alike it and a half a bottle of wine. And it was enough to get a good buzz going. Apart from the constant anxiety I felt sick like I do rest of the week, it wasn't too many calories consumed compared to usual.

I did however, make up for it by eating more cake..

Mentally, I'm looking ahead with somewhat positive attitude. I got my weekly diet under somewhat control as the past weeks has proven (weekends are hardest part and I tend to slip).
I also got a job in the government starting 1st of November, so I will get around 3x payment compared to now. Not that it will do much, apart from increasing the size of my bank account.
Just need to get the gym habit going, and I can become closer to content of life as it is now - not long term happiness, but less worry then generally.

Will pick up gymgoing tomorrow, I promise!

Don't. Calories "burned" is wildly inaccurate, and if I understand it correctly, irrelevant because it's part of your activity level when considering your TDEE.
But, of course, you might get around that by picking the lowest activity level.

i quit vaping right before trying to lose weight, and honestly the biggest benefit i have much better breath while doing cardio and just in general. i'm not wheezing like i used to.

My reason for wanting to do both at the same time is that I'm super committed to the weight loss, taking calorie counting 100% seriously and I think that if I sort of hitch the nicotine-stop to the weight loss regime it might make it easier.

My boggest issue is that I probably don't truly want to quit, definitely not as much as I want to be thin again.
I'm not smoking, so I can't really use better conditioning as the excuse.
Still, it can't hurt to give it a try as long as I'm super duper vigilant about the hunger suppression side of it.

I went shopping for clothes again today, because all my old clothes are worn out. They also no longer fit me but I didn't really notice that until I started measuring ones that did. I hate buying clothes, I fucking loath it, I hate those stores and the fucking fear and shame they put into me.

I took an 'L' shirt from the shelf. If fit me like a shirt should fit someone, without reaching my knees or look like a loose bag like my old ones do.

I AM 'L' SIZED. THIS IS MADNESS. I SHOULD BE XXXL LIKE ALWAYS.

WHAT IS THIS SORCERY, I CAN ACTUALLY BUY CLOTHES. AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE BLACK OR DARK GREY.

For the hell of it, I tried on a pair of skinny jeans. SKINNY! FUCKING! JEANS!!! And they fucking FIT ME!

I bought some clothes and walked out. I walked around in the mall and saw all those stores I could go into and buy shit from, and actually look normal in it. I feel like I got a superpower that I haven't yet learned how to use it.

Tuesday is either being to be the best or worst (financial) day of my year. I'm either going to be recieving money to start a new business and pay some bills or someone is going to let me down and I'm going to have to sell some assets just to keep my car on the road for another year.

So, I thought (either way) I might make it the only cheat day I've allowed myself in the last two months of keto.

I want to drive to the next town over and order a supersize McDonalds, and then a good quality Brownie from a nice bakery (fuck whoever made that 'mixing and cutting a brownie slab webm). Maybe have a chilled four pack of beer. Just once, to tide me over for another two months or so of living on protein shakes and a simple high-protein meal.

I know I shouldn't feel guilty, as across the week my deficit will cancel out more than I could possibly eat by a large amount, but I still do.

Its amazing how low calorie you can get your food by cooking it yourself. I made a burrito tonight with 2 pieces of bacon, half a potato, some onion and some jarred cheddar sauce. Cooked the onion and potato in the bacon grease, whole thing came out to only like 550 calories and it was guuuuuuuuuuuuuuddd

Best advise I can give to anyone trying to lose weight is to learn to cook your own food, and learn to love adding a bunch of veggies to every dish. Roasted veggies or pan fried veggies with meat are both amazing and add only a handful of calories

Had my gallbladder removed yesterday after spending 2 days in the ER from constant pain. Had a shit ton of stones and I was amazed just to see how full my gallbladder was in the ultrasound.

I got them from fasting, rapid weight loss leads to stones. I've been eating normally without any diarrhea or nausea that people claim will happen with your gallbladder removed. I don't even notice any differences with how I feel and it's much better than the constant pain I was in after eating from the stones.

I can't lift for a month, but just a warning for those of you who try to lose weight too fast. Gallstones are painful as fuck.

The first 1-2 weeks of eating/drinking clean is dropping all the water you were retaining from eating/drinking salty processed shit, some of what you lost was fat but it was mostly water. You can do more, just make sure you know your body.
I also felt like having 4 idle days was bad, but I just started myself and don't want to do too much exercising too soon and injure myself. So I've been doing cardio on my non-lifting days for the same time I spend at the gym on lift days. It lets me not feel lazy about it without majorly increasing my injury risk ya know.

I'll probably do more as I feel more comfortable exercising.

You've got the right build for calisthenics. Just remember that low weight plus more reps is leaner muscle mass so when you hit the gym weights it might feel harder initially to go for bulk muscle.

Until recently I was 150 kg. I'm on IF for more than a month and lost 7 kg. Want to push myself to less than 140 kg and then go to the gym, just to tell myself I could do the first 10 kg with my will alone. And I always fucking loved going to the gym, but became too much of a pussy to go to work with my gym bag or didn't want to take a shower at the gym, being embarassed, so I stopped going.
