Hello /fit/, I just had my first competition. It was a local charity thing, so it wasn't the most serious thing, but it's motivated me into signing up for a proper comp (obviously regional not on a big scale).
I went in at 65, and got 147.5/77.5/180. PRs on the squat and DL, but the bench really let me down. Can anyone recommend a bench programme to improve my awful press? I've managed 80kg before, but it was grindy as fuck.

just out of curiosity , do you have a vid of your bench press?

Sadly not. If it helps it's normally the first couple of inches that fuck me - if I can get the initial break, I never fail to lock out.
I've tried doing quarter reps, and pause reps, but it hasn't had much of an impact.

Thank you!

And thank you. I'm tempted to put on some weight, I feel I'm taller than most people in my class (5'9)
