Does it increase your ability to think better? I feel calm and collected, but I'm a bit worried, because you know when you get heat shock when u are out on the sun far too long you feel like shit etc.

Yo. I go to sauna 3-4 days a week. I keep the temp around 65-70 C, loads of steam. I usually do this after workouts, so I rehydrate properly (3-5 liters of water from beginning of workout till the end of sauna).
I have had nothing but desirable results. It calms me down, helps me focus, takes the brain fog away.
One may argue that this is a combined result of both working out and taking a sauna. I have had this sauna for many years so I know how it affects me.

Also, if you are worried about heat issues you should take a sauna the proper way.
Get in for a hot 5-10 minutes. When you're just about done, pour some water over the stones to really feel the heat and get out. Take a cold shower immediately, have 0.5-1 liter of water. Wait 2-3 minutes.
Repeat this 3-4 times for optimal results.

Proper way would be to drink till you pass out and die from the heat. Shame that people don't give birth in saunas anymore, since it would be the ultimate circle of life.
