Hi fit,
Im thinking of eating a can of tuna a day to increase my protein intake. The only problem I have is that I am a broke student and tuna is quite expensive.
Is it worth it? Does anyone else know a cheaper alternative which compares to the macros of tuna?
Thanks

First off
>Tuna
>Expensive
Second, Tuna is great! But has really high mercury content, so don't eat it errday
You can get a pound of ground Turkey for a decent price, where I'm at. Use it like ground beef, just make sure to drain the grease.
You can also get canned chicken (mix with lowfat/nofat mayo and eat on Romaine) but it's more expensive than tuna.
You need to start making more money desu
canned tuna isn't expensive
lentils
you can't have perfect macros as a poorfag

Whey or pea protein powder is really cheap, definitely cheaper than tuna

Except you can, if you eat lentils. Just cut out some pasta or fruit because lentils are not pure protein like tuna, they have about 15 kcal per g protein

You can get like 10 cans of tuna for $5.
It's one of the cheapest proteins you can get

Canned mackerel is half the price of tuna, has similar macros, has far less heavy metal contamination, and tastes great.
