Boogie crowned himself king of /fit on last nights stream after he showed his 91lbs of weight loss so far

Does this prove that surgery is a legit method for losing weight? Should other fatties start researching?

you ever see the sauce of pic related

most people as fat as boogie drop to like 200 and then stay there because surgery doesnt solve the underlying problem of food addiction. if they dont, they figure out the power of milkshakes and bulk back up again. surgical weight loss isn't sustainable without a dedicated lifestyle change.

The type of surgery is definitely a legitimate way to lose weight.
It basically forces you to not be able to eat.

It won't make you healthy though if you don't exercise and don't eat decent food. You'll just not be obese.

This. To keep weight off you need to change the behaviour patterns, you can't just go see a doctor and expect it to all be fixed.

Surgical interventions just make it easier to change those behaviours.

Also in that picture I do think she has some point, but it doesn't support her. Yeah it's a loaded question to exclusively ask a fat person if they've been told by a doctor they're healthy, people probably wouldn't ask a thin person that, but that also ignores that being overweight is closely linked to a bunch of negative health outcomes, so there's more reason to ask.

A woman at my mother's workplace got the same surgery done and didn't lose any weight, just stayed at 300lbs because having a smaller stomach only means that you can't fit as much inside it at any one point in time. She retained her old habit of eating all day every day, "snacking" every waking second. Boogie will probably plateau at a weight somewhere between 300-350lbs and stay there until he dies of a heart attack at sixty.
