I have high-insertion calf muscles.
Alright lower body but "chicken legs" because small calves. My routine consists of low rep, heavy weight, high rep, low weight (both on three different types of machines, different amount of sets) until it burns like a motherfucker, climbing stairs and hiking.
I seen some results (Like 2 inches in two years) but I'm still disproportional.
Pros of high-insertion calves: Sprinting, Pylometrics.

Calf exercises only work if your overloading them while on a pretty serious caloric surplus
