The only thing that ever helped me was planning my last meal right before bed (so intermittent fasting in a sense). The easiest way for me to do this was push my first meal out later in the day, so my typical schedule was
Meal 1:5pm
Meal 2:8pm
Gym: 11-12pm
Meal 3 +whey protein: 1-2am
Bed right after
