I currently have a cold. Chlorine kills bacteria and viruses. Can I gargle DILUTED chlorine to get rid of my cold? Would it be bad to semi-inhale it (and cough it up) to clear my airways? Can I do a "nasal irrigation" with it to clear my sinuses?
I mean I would seriously dilute it like 1 part chlorine and 9 parts water or something

If you are asking this question you should probably do 1 part water 9 parts chlorine.
Good luck.
Is this bait?

Sure go ahead, what could possible go wrong?
You seem like a good candidate for a Darwin Award, OP.

No, I've just read up on
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_chlorination
It's used in tap water to kill diseases:
http://www.who.int/water_sanitation_health/dwq/chlorine.pdf
The concentration in the solution I would use would be much higher than the tap water concentration though, but I don't think it'll cause that much damage since I do it for a really short period of time. The tissue shouldn't be damaged by it if it takes <10 seconds and I rinse with ordinary water afterwards. I reckon it would just be like accidentally swallowing pool water
Leave a note explaining why you killed yourself, OP.

Your intentions are good, yet incredibly risky.
Chlorine gas was once used to cure colds, but then, doctors discovered how harmful chlorine is to the lungs.
You're wanting to use a liquid form, but I still advise you not to. Go another route to cure your cold, OP.
Do it for science, OP.

>has a cold
>can't handle a regular fucking common cold
>wants to gargle a chlorine solution to achieve the same ends as a cold pill and a good night's rest
No need for the chlorine op, just use rope.

chlorine concentration in pools is 1-3 ppm (parts per million), a lot less than the 1 part per 10 you're considering
A thread on /fit/ about gargling & snorting bleach, or inhaling chlorine gas.
Guess I've seen it all.

Household bleach, "chlorine", is a hypochlorite ClO− solution. Chlorine gas is elemental chlorine (Cl2).

Sure. But the chlorine in the bottle is also not 100% chlorine. It's like 30% actual hypochlorites.
The exposure time would be really short, too
