I was a gymnast and wrestler throughout middle school and highschool and did some dancing, ultimately I got out of those sports because a) once I went to college I realized how shit I was and b) the prevalence of eating disorders amongst such athletes (yes, dancers are athletes) is fucking INSANE and I honestly don't believe most of us were mentally okay, nor were the sports really effective treatments for our problems.

I have no balance or coordination, I literally stumble on flat ground, and at this point if I joined ballet it would be obvious I'm just doing it for pussy and am too old anyway

Barre aka. Ballet pretending to be an high impact cardio session is a joke. A bunch of failed prima ballerina's saw the commercialization of Yoga and tried to make it a thing.

I started barre.

The stretches and flexibility stuff is the hardest part but I appreciate all the little ways they have of isolating various parts of your leg with just body weight and resistance band. Good stuff to try to glute activate before really hitting them hard
