>go on a trip to India before going back to grad school
>pretty much eat nothing but overcooked rice and chickpeas for two weeks, body can't process any of it, losing gains right and left

Vegetarianism is a mental illness.

I occasionally see people calling themselves "recovering vegetarians", 75% of the time they start shilling paleo diets afterwards. I'm curious for the remainder 25% who seems genuine though, if you hate being a vegetarian so much you feel like you're "recovering" afterwards why do these kind of people give up meat in the first place?

How does keeping a healthy muscle structure work under veggie protein?
Only like 40% of the nutritional protein gets absorbed from vegetable sources (against the 80ish of animal ones), and with protein content being as low as it is already it feels like just to get the 2lbs = 1g rule you'd have to eat literally kilograms of veggies at every meal just for a hope of a paltry sum of protein

Animal's only matter for the sake of humanity. Giving up meat entirely won't help humanity. The healthy problems with meat only come from excess. Vegans are only healthier because their lifestyle demands that they be conscious of what they eat. Meat eaters who are conscious of what they are putting into there body are just as healthy.

I think vegans should be beheaded for being retarded.
