Get Matthew Vincent's book on explosive strength OR find a shotput lifting program.
Most important thing to learn about training for explosiveness is that you don't want to train poor movement patterns. Better to do 10 sets of two depth jumps than do 10 reps of depth jumps.
If you don't have an oly lifting coach, I'd recommend (1) get one OR (2) sub snatch and clean and jerk with clean high pulls and push press. Snatch in particular is way too technical for uncoached people to do at the weight you need to do it.
