I've been taking this along with Maca Root and rhodiola. I don't know what happened but it fucked me up pretty bad and gave me insomnia/rapid heart beats/shakyness . i went about 3 days without sleeping and was feeling like total shit. Took it for a week until I realized it made me sweat uncontrollably and gave me crazy anxiety.

Turns out I had hyperthyroidism and the Ashwagandha made it even worse.

If it wasn't for that shit I might have never found out my anxiety/depression was due to my thyroid. They put me on fucking anti-depressants for years which did nothing, after a few weeks of taking my thyroid meds all my issues instantly disappeared.

I've just started using it, to see if it helps with my depression and my hypothyroidism.
Started at 1mg elemental, but I'm gonna up my dose to 5mg.
I've also recently started taking T4 and a bunch of other supplements, so I can't say if the lithium makes a difference.

Lithium-carbonate is used to treat bipolar disorders, and it works. It also fucks up your body because it requires huge dosages, so it's shit.
Lithium-orotate is available over-the-counter, and there are many anecdotes of people successfully using it to treat bipolar and unipolar depression.
There aren't many studies on it.

Because lithium-orotate can be used in very small dosages, it's relatively safe.
Thyroid issues and depression are often related, and lithium can help with that.

I don't know if it will help you, but it's worth looking into.
