My uni gym just got one of these and holy fuck they are surprisingly pretty hard ! Gonna try incorporating them to see if it has any carry over to squat or dead. Anyone do these or tried them?
>>
they are a staple exercise for powerlifters, olylifters and strongmen. do your math, it's a shame my gym doesn't have one but instead shitloads of unnecessary isolation machines

I've never been in a gym whit this machine, i do them on the floor, its pretty damn hard i can do one whit no assist and then complete the set with support.

They are really hard... I figured I would try them and in my head I was thinking 3x10 ended up failing 3x5 ... Looks like I've found my weakness lol!
>>

I just try to focus in controlling the eccentric, sets of 5 are good tho i think this is a strength move, the stretch in the hams are amazing.

I'd kill to get a ghd in my gym. 45 degree back ext is alright but those are so much better
>>
>>42723299
I agree man very underrated exercise !!
>>
Yeah I do snatch grip back extensions with them. Glutes hammies and erectors are huge.
>>
My sprinting power has increased pretty noticeably just by doing a homemade version of this. Quite like it. You can either hook your feet under a couch or try this one: lay on a low friction surface, on a towel if need be, and lay your legs straight. Then, dig your heels into the ground and drag yourself into a hip bridge position. 8-10 will have your hammies burning like crazy
>>
>>42723273
once you do them a few times they get easier
>>

They are awesome, seconded only to RDLs they are the next best posterior chain exercise, especially the band resisted variation. These even have a little advantage over the RDL tho because they work the shit out of the glutes and hammies but they are much easer on the lower back.
>>

How do you progress on RDL and what rep scheme should I be doing them at? I feel like they aren't exactly a lift that's easy to progress in because there's really no distinct failure in them ... Form just kinda breaks down
