I've sinned, fit.
Some guy asked me to spot him at bench the other day, and we both made sure i wouldnt do shit unless he said so.
But the second it looked like he was gonna fail, my brain shut off, and i started helping him. I know he had at LEAST that rep in store, and yet I still robbed him of his fucking gains.
It's tearing me apart and i dont know what to do.
Please share some sins to make me feel better.

Was this last week? I asked someone to spot me, told him how but he grabbed the bar anyway, robbed me but I shrugged it off as I didn't know him and was imposing on him in the first place.
I didnt take off the pl8s off the bar after deadlifting because i had to shit really bad.

It was 2 days ago, and i didnt grab it awa. Held my arms under the bar and started lifting it the second he started struggling.
I let people struggle for about 2 seconds before grabbing the bar. If the bar is standing still for 2 seconds, they obv cant push it up so I will help just a little bit.
I lifted with gloves for the first time
If I see they start struggling, I'll hover my hands around the bar but don't grab it
You shouldn't ever stop helping someone when you spot always give them at least like 1lbs of lift.

>held my arms under the bar
Don't do that. I stand away from them so I'm not in their line of sight, and then I step forward and help when they fail. I hate people who spot with their groin in my face.
