A great humbling experience. Learned more in that one round of sparring than months of practicing. Went a whole lot better the second time.

Muy Thai, at the moment but, I also have a Greco Roman Wrestling background.
Got into it with one of the other students the other day. He'd have had me on ice, if it weren't for my wrestling background. I have to get better with elbows.

I've competed for the first time in no gi last year and took part in a nogi open in China this summer while on a work trip there. Very small tournament but two things made me happy: I managed to apply a twister (wrestlers guillotine) and the fact I was able to fit in a bjj tournament at the end of a work trip in such a far away country was a pretty cool experience. Webm related.
I'm looking for good boxing gyms in my area. Either that or muay thai, I want to train my striking game for at least year then work my way into mma.
