What's the most effective way to lose weight without resistance workouts? Is there something to be said about that rowing machine?

Buy a door frame pull up bar, to pull ups, push ups, sit ups, and dips on two chairs if it's not too uncomfortable with the chairs you have (remember to stick your chest out during dips)
