I was the same while trying to lose weight.
One I started eating more I got the gains.
Currently at 190lbs, able to bench 190lbs for 1. I stopped my diet about 2-2.5 months ago. Right after diet, I barely got 170x1 on bench while being just under or at 180lbs.

I slapped on one plate/item/fixing to my cut diet meals to enter bulking territory.

breakfast, eggs with cheese&bacon added to them. greek yogurt. a fruit. a veggie. 2 toast slices with PB, this being what I added to gain an easy 200-300 calories and 15 or so proteins.
lunch, chicken salad with slightly more dressing/higher cal dressing than the low cal stuff I was using. croutons, cherry tomatoes, spinach or spring mix being the salad is mainly made up of (lettuce is worthless filler food, never buy it again. spinach/spring mix is better in everyway.) cottage cheese, fruit, and some times some sorta energy soda thingy since I get them free at work. this stayed mostly the same, only 120-220 calories and like a 6~ proteins added.
dinner, literally just slightly bigger portions of what I ate during my cut or items offered that I would have before passed on (potato fries, desserts, gravy, shit like that) since my dinners are out of my control and rarely were made with the intent of being low cal. I figure doing this adds another 250-450 calories and an east 20+ or so proteins. especially on cheesecake days.

I end up eating like 2600-3100 calories, and around 280-300 proteins. I also now drink protein shakes, wish I had enough money for those during my cut. btw I also work a manual labor job so that's why my calories/protein are often pretty high for someone my size. fuck letting my job steal my gains, gotta eat more

Thanks anon I screen capped your post. I work an office job so I thought I wouldnt need to eat so much but reading how you cut out the low cal options made me release my sudden rapid loss is probably because of my wife starting a diet. All low calorie options and no more whole milk, which is probably a much bigger impact than I thought. Cheers

Low cal options for foods may also be light on proteins. you really gotta read those labels. Easy as fuck calories plus good ass protein ratio is greek yogurt. my cut yogurt was 130cal for 22protein. my current bulk yogurt is 190cal for 19pro, and it's fucking better tasting than most desserts.

any Aldis around you? they have a brand of oat bread that is 110calories and 6 protein per slice. two of those with PB is any easy 19protein for like like 400 or so calories. that's some bulking shit right there.
if not that, Dave's Killer bread is good, like 5protein her slice and not sure on the cals but I think they are lower than the aldi bread. In general, if it ain't got oats/seeds in it and dark enough brown that it would never be considered a white person's skin tone no matter how much they tan, it ain't real bread. it's trash for kids.
