what the fuck I had a 5k race last week and my shins STILL HURT
what is going on?
shin splints can take a long time to heal, and it's one of the things you can't work through or it will just get worse.

Lmao I haven't had shin splints since I was a fat kid in high school.
If you see a physical therapist they will help you get rid of them effectively. Otherwise, I remember foam rolling helped a lot

No. You now have micro fractures in your shin bones. Congratulations

Haven't had issues with shin splits since adopting landing on mid-foot.

I had them for a few months on the inside part of my shins and the only thing that helped was constant massaging with a gua sha tool. They're like $15 on amazon. Also when you get back into running I'd only do 5-6 miles a week max until you finally fully heal.
I ran once after a few weeks off and have some kind of muscle pain on the front of my hip every time I lift my right leg up. It's persisted for about four days of rest and varies in intensity throughout the day. What the fuck is it, how do I fix it, and how do I prevent it in the future?

go to traumatologist
you have plain feet.. rugby player here brah, got prescribed orthopedic templates (idk the word for that sry) and the problem was gone

>landing on forefoot can strain calf and achilles
guess that explains it
