Drains all fluids pre fight and inserts them back in for the fight.

You be surprised how much fluids you can take out of you. Blood, urine, sweat, spit.

I've lost 6+ pounds just taking a long bath, 170 is possible

This. I used to cut 19 lbs in a day to make weight in high school. 12 lbs in practice, float another 8 put me 1 under. It is just dehydration.

I am a cyclist and while eating lightly and drinking I was able to lose 9 lbs on a 7 hour ride, most of which were obviously water weight. I was able to regain 5lbs that night in just fluids and I am just an amateur athlete. For real though 160-165 is more realistic

yes, but that's not surprising at all

as a long time follower of boxing , absolutely. happens all the time. a popular fighter who does this constantly is Canelo Alvarez coming in 15lbs+ from weigh in on the regular fight night.
is it healthy? absolutely not in the long term your body will just quit making that smaller weight and you'll be forced to move up. you also run the risk of being weakened and bloated fight night so your team really has to be on top of what you re doing. Roberto Duran comes to mind as a fighter who constantly hurt himself with weight loss supplements and then ballooned out of control fight night.
lmao
