Jump rope for cardio?
Been lifting for constantly for a while now gone from 154lb cocaine user regularly staying awake from Friday till Sunday not eating just cocaine and alcohol to 200lb most of it muscle little belly but thought fuck it bulking
Lift 5 days a week, starting boxing on Saturdays but just wondering if jump rope is worth using for cardio? Done a bit with it at boxing and it knackered me right out

It's nice, you can do it at home, I enjoy it, we usually use it for warm up in muay thai. "Real" cardio training for martial arts is road work though. Still, I found that jump rope made get a good base cardio that made it easier to get into the other cardio stuff like jogging. Just make sure you jump rope at least for 20 to 30 minutes each session
Jump roping is so underrated, I do it 3-4 times a week for 20 mins and have lost so much excess fat while keeping the muscle mass. So it's definitely worth it!
It's good and it's cheap but watch out for them shin splints.

The shin splints depends on 3 things:
1) The surface you're jumping on: i jump on a tatami and never had shin splints.
2) the shoes you're using
3) the technique
