What's up boys. Help me figure out why I'm struggling to find the right balance cutting.
It's been two weeks now and I had one cheat day where I ate like five miniature organic burgers. Only one had bread so it was just a lot of meat.
For most days I vary between eating 250-500 under my TDEE, which is about 2000. I also run 3 miles a day so that gives me about 300 calories leeway I guess.
My diet consists of mostly protein bars. I don't really know what else I can eat and they are just easy.
I don't know if it's something in the bars or what but unless I fast literally the entire day my gut feels huge and I can't run without pain after a mile. This used to happen to me with water weight when I was younger so I've completely opted out of eating or drinking anything at least a few hours before cardio, which I know HAS to be unhealthy but I see no other solutions.
What are some good low calorie foods that don't make you feel like this? What ingredients should I avoid?
145lbs and 5'6 if anyone is wondering. I'm not unhealthy at all but at my height unless I'm flat stomached or slightly ripped it looks really unaesthetic.
The running is a commitment but if I had the option I'd be in the gym instead. Only going Wednesdays but I'm gonna add two more days for a total of three eventually. Gotta lift and cut at the same time, right?
Go ahead and laugh at the height but pls don't derail the thread like the last few.
PS what do core exercises do to my body?

There's no link just go make a Jenna thread on /tv/ and get it all before it gets deleted
Or wait until he shows up naturally

T-thank you
If there's whey in your protein bars the bloating might be lactose intolerance of some kind or something else of that nature. There's plenty of other sources of protein you can use: sardines, tuna, egg whites, etc.
Fasted cardio (running, etc.) is good obviously, but as it's been pointed out before if you build more lean muscle your body will naturally consume more calories even if you're not really doing anything, so in some ways this is a better option for keeping fat off in the long run. Look into using ECA while doing fasted cardio if you're worried about fat, creatine for building lean muscle.
