want to start working out. I used to workout 2 years ago but didn't really take it serious. I'm considering hiring a personal coach to help me with my workout and diet plan. Is this a good idea ? charges 60 dollars a hour, it seems a lot but it's for my own self improving. This way I can have a clear goal for myself. Thoughts / Opinions on this ? only plan to visit when needed.
It's a much better idea to save your money and learn how to manage your own life, educate yourself, motivate yourself, and not infantilize yourself by hiring some (possible retard) to do it for you.

The best things I ever did in terms of fitness were the following:
> Get educated about nutrition
> Set goals, and,
> Track goals. Write that shit down; weights, reps, bodyweight, and try to progress every week.
> Treat the gym as if it were a second job. You cant skip it for something else, and it WILL replace some other aspects of your life.
> Follow a beginners routine until you know enough to make your own. VERY IMPORTANT. You will learn a lot from this.
And be patient, go slow, focus on making sure your form is good before increasing weight.

If your coach is not planning on teaching you to squat, deadlift, overhead press and bench press, he is most likely straight up robbing you.
