Is powerlifting more fun/motivating than bodybuilding if you're natty?
these are questions you have to ask yourself op. if 100 people say pl is more fun, and you try it for a bit and hate it, what good did those 100 people do you?
Strength is objective. If you bodybuild for 1 year, put on 35 pounds and shred to 7% bodyfat some asshole will still say "chest looks small" or "why do you care about your appearance so much" or some female will bitch about how gross being ultra lean is. But if you can deadlift 500 lbs? Then you can lift a quarter of a ton with your bare fucking hands, and that fact is not up to anyone else's opinion or personal preferences. That is yours.

To be a "multi disciplinary" athlete is probably where the fun is at, doing PL/BB/WL/SM, learning about them, meeting new people and perhaps competing eventually.

the only reason these fags think powerlifting is great is because they're addicted to adrenaline. when you lift something heavy you're body releases a ton of adrenaline because it's freaking out. powerlifters are just adrenaline junkies. body building is where it's at.

I would say powerlifting. But since my legs were always weak as fuck and I never, regardless how often I trained and eat, could reach above 120 kg squat, I changed my pl routine to a bodybuilding routine with high volume.
You must know where your strengths are. If you can't become really strong, like in my case, better do high volume training so you can have at least a good body.

In my opinion: BW/gymnastics > Oly > BB > PL
