Alright let's make this actually meta and talk about /fit/. It seems the mods ban /sig/ when it's one of the most useful generals here. Obviously the counterargument is that /adv/ exists, but that board is filled with the cesspool of general 4chan users whereas at least some people on /fit/ are actually trying to improve themselves as people.

The mods are currently onconsistent when it comes to thier moderation of the "life improvement" theory.

My guess is that the janitors chill on it, and then every once in a while an idiot mod who doesn't understand the board culture strolls by and "cleans" the catalog to pretend like he is making a difference.

/fit/ is lucky in this regard. It has a board culture for the most part that allows expansion of discussion that is relatively unrocked. Boards such as /sp/ have been neutered into the least enjoyable boards.
