Honestly, does anyone here have ACTUAL experience with the 5x5 training? Not talking about the gomad bs and shit diet, just the training in itself. Thinking of beginning training after browsing fit for a while, and it seems to be the most reasonable training routine i can find, not to mention am totally new so i will achieve gainz anyways right?
worked well for me, did SL 5x5 for a year and went from 160 to 180lbs, good strength gains and solid size/thickness increase. I rec from personal experience, just remember it doesnt happen overnight. when squats get really heavy it starts to get pretty tough
Now doing 5/3/1BBB for more volume/hypertrophy

Thanks for not posting a shitpost troll comment, mind explaining what all this x/x/x, like for example 5/3/1 means? Got no results on google

People will say different things, but i've been doing stronglifts + accessories for a few months now while eating well and look and feel MUCH better than before.

By 5/3/1 he means he now does 3 sets, 1 5 rep, 1 3 rep, 1 1 rep, and I assume the weight increases each set.

I've been doing 5x5 since June, I increased my weight from around 145lb to 150+lb, my squats increased the most and now I'm doing 250lb for 5x5. I eat like a tank but I'm still small. I guess not enough time has passed to tell, but I'm clearly stronger
It's not a meme.
Worked well for me, had my ex gasping when I took my shirt off and kids on the beach on holiday asking if I roid.
I done 5x5 for a year but slowed down on the squats later and added in chins, curls, weighted dips, farmers walks and weighted declined situps (plate to chest) pretty early on.
The app was handy at the start and the slow progression helped me learn form without going to snap city.
5x5 helped me greatly with form and overall strength, didn't gain much weight tho except for my legs but i pretty much started with twigs. But yeah got me to 1.5x BW squat, 2x BW deadlift, 1x BW bench and 0.8x BW OHP, which is quite the improvement from starting out with the bar
Tl;dr: do recommend for strength Gains and juicy glootz
