How does this routine look for a beginner getting into lifting weights at 50 years old?
A Workout:
DB bench (slight incline) 4 x 8-12
Lateral raises 3 x 10- 12
Reverse lunge 4 x 8- 12
Goblet squat with bench 5 x 5
Farmers carry 6 x 20 metres
B Workout:
Seated row 4 x 8- 12
Reverse pec deck flyes 3 x 10- 12
Romanian dead lift 4 x 10- 12
Goblet Squat 5 x 5
Farmers carry 6 x 20 metres
Execution: Alternate ABA first week and BAB second week. Add weight when max range of reps can be achieved. Omit the lunges and romanian dead lifts until a base of strength has been built. Watcha think?
