Hey /fit/

Is there anything you tell to yourself before you crush a big ass weight? Idioms and shit like that to get you in the zone, whether it be a 1RM or a new 5 rep max. Personally, here's mine

I also like to think of fitness as my religion and approach workouts with the mental state that a monk or ascetic might approach their duties in service of a high power.

Of course it is also nice to read some philosphy specifically with relation to strength - Mishima, Socrates, Sri Chinmoy - and look at some pictures of aesthetic statues.
