I just fucked up my shoulder.
My dumb and lazy ass just tried to shut off a light switch while in bed. I have a small reach so I extended fully to reach it, when I did, I felt discomfort in my shoulder and fell out of bed.
It doesn't hurt bad at all but when I extend my airs directly upwards it feels.... off. Also for a split second the pain shot down my shoulder to my lower back.
Should I still lift this week? I planned on doing chest tomorrow.
Advice please, anyone

The worst thing you can do is not stimulating the injured zone. Go after the light ass weights. It will help the recovery
Wtf. How feeble are you that your damage your shoulder by extending your arm. Work on your internal rotation, keep your shoulders healthy. And go outside.

Unfortunately you're gonna have to skip at least the week of heavy workouts that use your shoulder and do a bit of a rehab on it until it feels better. Ideally you'd go to a physio instead of ask here

Be a fucking man and do overhead press

I'm in shape actually. I just made a foolish decision to turn the light out the way I did. It had everything to do with awkward positioning.

You sound young, your body should be in peak physical condition. This shouldnt happen. Your mind and brain should be in harmony everytime your move a limb to stop stuff like this happening. Your subconscious should know the end goal of a limb moving before you can even think. If not then you need to work on all the this anon.

Try scratching your back with the injured arm. Don't reach over your head but rather arm behind your back as if youre being arrested. If it hurts doing that go see an orthopedic cause you may have damaged something.
>labrum tear.
>6months to 1 year recovery before I could lift
>MFW I still can't lift Bigly
