Generally yes.
If you eat just before bed it will be at least 3-4 hours before you enter a fasted state.
The body switches between catabolism and anabolism based on caloric intake.
It doesn't magically go catabolic just because you are sleeping..
However since few people simultaneously eat and sleep, it is safe to assume at least most of your sleep was spent in a fasted state.
