>go to lat pulldown so i can eavesdrop
>"you bitch, I hate you so much. you cheating whore" etc
>hes talking to the bar
>he does the set and grunts and extremely loudly
>slams the weight down, whole gym looking
>quietly says "i'm sorry baby, you know i love you" and gently pats the plates

i was astonished. has fit ever seen anything like this?

Never seen anything like that, but getting angry does make you stronger. I think about upsetting things as I start a set to help me blast through it all of the time. I mostly just get myself worked up about how relatively weak I am compared yo my goals.
