I have a 3cm gap between my pecs where the sternum is. Is this genetic or do I just need to /liftmore/? Not me in the pic, but what it looks like (the guy has about twice as much as I do though).

lifting weights is not going to change your muscle origins and insertions (despite old bodybuilding broscience), which is what pec gap is - your pecs just don't insert right in the middle of your chest
you just have to deal with it, you can't hypertrophy air

Unfortunately you can't do much about it but imho it doesn't look any bad at all

It makes your chest optically wider

Nope, it's genetic. The physique is coming along nicely though.
