I have very weak grip strength. Been doing deadlifts a lot still no help
There's a grip strength measuring device and my left hand was terribly weak
What are the best exercises to increase grip strength
Pic unrelated

Do your deadlifts same-side grip until you can't.
Last rep, hold it for a few seconds.
Also, farmer's walk.
>>42556445
behind back wrist curls with barbell
use lower weight/high reps (like 30+) kinda like calf raises

Farmers walks and hanging from a pull up bar
After doing those two things my grip strength improved a lot and now I finally have forearms that look like I lift
Give your hands time to rest dog. repetitive exercise and rest, heavy kettlebell swings and low weight high rep deadlifts improved mine but only after i gave them rest. Id constantly go to faliure and push my hands day in and day out but i found improvement came when i stopped going to the limit and trained my hands daily. That said ive only just started seeing solid improvements but so far this is what i put it down to.

Do deadlifts double overhand, farmers walks, buy a strong grip developer, stick your hand in a bucket of rice and open and close your hand, find odd shaped objects and practice grabbing them with one hand, hang from a pull up bar as long as possible

>There's a grip strength measuring device
What is it?, Where did you get that?
I'd love to know my grip numbers
rock climbing

You can buy them online, cheapo ones are like 30 bucks and then there are expensive hydrologic ones

Barbell shrugs
farmer carries
hanging from a pullup bar
Do these and your grip strength will improve pretty quickly.
what I started doing recently was after my work set deloading to 60% and doing three sets of one just holding it as long as I can. seems like it helps so far
but this, farmer's walk, and dead hangs are all conceptually similar in that you are trying to improve your grip strength by gripping something moderately heavy for a period of time, so whatever you prefer should be fine

You could just buy an eagle catcher, kind of what they're made for.

Your gym might have one
>>42556445
lots of pull exercises which you should be doing anyway, also before rest days I'll also palm the top of 25lb dumbbells and hold them for as long for a couple of sets as I can so I don't ignore the thumb.

mhh, thanks for the info. I'm trying to not have many stuff though, and I would only use that like once a year.

Pretty sure I don't have one in my garage
>>42556445
do double overhand deadlifts till you can't, then switch to hook/mixed. Use chalk.

Oh. Ask a physio if you ever visit one

Sledgehammer work. My overhand deadlift went from 4plate to 4.5plate in a single month.

Buy a cheap strengthener(one with variable resistance;pic related)
This solved the pain I used to get in my left wrist while doing pullups
I've been thinking that should i start doing free weight arm isolations to improve my grip and overall arm strength ? Ive only done compound movements so far..
