I'm not sure if I have long femurs I just never could get the hang of squats. That one rep max is after not squatting for a few months due to some knee pain I was having. I didn't really lose much strength. Probably because I never had any to begin with.

You are ok. I started off my bench at literally 24 pounds. Now I have world class pull-up and elite horizontal and vertical press. Just add 10-20 pounds every workout and do them 5-6 times a week. And spike your insulin after or during workout. You get up to 90% more response in muscle and strength gains that way.
