everytime I do a pullup or overhead press
i hurt my upper back near the spine
it's like a pulled muscle or something
i would guess a rhomboid or trap
it's in the rhomboid area
after it's pulled it can leave a swollen lump
it's hard to turn my head side to side,
sometimes there's tightness in my chest
it has happened on both sides of my spine
ive even tried doing alot of facepulls etc to strengthen these muscles before attempting overhead but it didn't work
i can't do a pullup or ohp without injuring it
stop asking here and go to physio

yeah i have that too, one time i felt something twitch there during OHP, and i could not look up. had my head down the whole day, had to go to the doctor to wear a neckbrace. yeap.
desu ever since then ive just started to take my warmups and stretching more seriously, and other hippie shit like never going to failure, or try my best to not break form. injury is a bitch

its probably something to do with scapula retraction, so always keep your shoulders locked back and DOWN during lifts. take note of the "DOWN" portion, cause i feel alot of people miss this one out.
