Is "I just worked out but I ate this shitty food right after so I negated my workout" a meme?
My mom just said this to me for having five slices of pizza after running 4 miles + core exercises

No you lost all your gains
>>42532174
SHIT LAD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
>I'll keep your gains in my thoughts and prayers. R.I.P
At this point I would consider suicide
>>42532203
Fug ok. I wouldn't really call them gains since it's my first workout all summer
>>42532234
Eh relax I still way 150lbs, the thing is I'm short though so that's not exactly a flat stomach
>>42532174
Maybe if youre doing cardio or some shit to lose weight, but if you're lifting, you'll get gains on any caloric surplus
>>42532174
>bench press 3pl8 for reps
>eat donut
>pecs fall off
why didn't anyone warn me
>>42532395
>cardio
yup
Senior year running cross country for the first time, should I start taking days off to hit my school's weight room?
>>42532430
depends on your goals. you wanna be the best cross country runner, run more. you wanna put on some muscle, lift. you wanna eat 5 slices of pizza, eat 5 slices of pizza
>>42532174
bugs....
>>42532490
this isn't very helpful, and I just wanna lose bellyfat/tits not gain muscle. That'll come later
>>42532174
If it's in terms of strength training and you're trying to bulk up, no - you're probably doing your muscle gains a favor. However, if your goal is to lose weight, yes you basically negated what you just did.

it wasnt helpful cause your original question was does shitty food negate a workout? in what way? you wont get weaker from eating pizza.
in terms of losing weight, pizza isn't what you should strive for, but it comes down to calories in, calories out. you'll lose weight if you eat nothing but pizza, but not alot of it.
