How do you know when you had an amazing workout?

>push day, OHP+Bench+close-grip
>hit new 5rm in all of them by like ~5-10 pounds
>arms are jello
>need to take a shit
>wiping ass with toilet paper
>mfw it hurt just to push the toilet paper in my ass

>Approach deadlift area, preworkout doin' its thing inside me
>Warm-up with a few light sets
>load up for PR
>deep breaths
>look at myself in the mirror

>grip strength on point, almost locked in lift at the top
>think "maybe I can't"
>think "nah, fuck that"
>lock it in, make eye contact with self
>gracefully bring bar back to the ground without lookin' like a dick
>re-rack all my weights
>finish with some additional pull lifts
>run a 5k
>walk out of the gym in an absolute haze
>try to talk to cashier at grocery story, but can't cuz I'm still too in the zone
>body on fire for hours after

I'm inspired to get back into the gym after a month of depression and BotW to recapture this feeling. Thanks guys.

My bench was up to 185 last year before I got surgery. Back in march i couldn't even bench 135. felt bad man. Today I got 165 after months and months of deloading. Even that is still dyel mode for my stats but at least it's going back up

Also had a surgery that reset a lot of my progress. It sucks, but if you lift through it, reaching where you were prior feels great.

>stiff leg deadlifts and deep squats
>pushed my max on leg press and did calf raises on leg press
>calf extensions
I could barely walk out of the gym after doing about 6-8 sets of each for 5-10 reps
