I like onions. One of my favourite side dishes these days is:
Rice
Beans (I use black beans or kidney beans mostly, but you can vary it up)
Half a lime
One (or a half of) spring onion or shallot onion sliced into paperthin slices.

I got the recipe from the back of a spice mix bag but these days I eat it with lots of different spices and combinations. Always with chicken though.
